V&A Waterfront

This afternoon/evening I headed down to the waterfront to check out a little bit more of the city.  It is a GIANT shopping area with boats, piers, stores, a craft market, food, and souvenirs.  I walked into one store chalk-full of fabulous take home gifts and my shopping loving heart nearly skipped a beat.  I already know two gifts I am going to purchase before I leave.  But I didn’t buy them then, for some reason I felt like only a sucker would purchase souvenirs only 7.4% the way into their stay.  I just couldn’t do it.  But I did take a picture of the store’s sign so that I could find it later if, in fact, my animal-like shopping intuition was correct.  The waterfront was lively and fun, they even were having an outdoor concert.  It was a ska-type band, The Rudimentals.  It was fun to watch, so I grabbed a coke (at a McDonalds of all places…shame, shame…it was the closest thing to me!) and hung out with the other smart people on the balcony in the shade until the end.
